What can happen when believers from different parts of the world come together to serve, learn, and encourage one another? This September, TLAfrica’s Rwanda team welcomed eight members of Central Baptist Church in New York for a week of ministry in Musanze. Led by Pastor John Films-Aime, the team came ready to serve—and throughout the [...]
When our team arrived at Lydia's homestead in Kajiado on June 10, we were welcomed by more than a meeting—we were welcomed into a community. Before the women gathered, we visited the group's beekeeping project and Lydia's newly renovated poultry house (read her testimony), made possible through grant support from the Women's Empowerment Program. As [...]
Just a few months ago, Lydiah Naserian wondered if her poultry project would survive. Her chicken house was poorly designed, making it difficult for young chicks to move safely. Eggs often fell and broke before they could be sold, and the small structure could hold only about 20 chickens. Instead of providing a reliable source [...]
On June 12, our team visited the Aka Ndiwa AIC Kavumbu Women's Empowerment Group, where eight women gathered at AIC Kavumbu Church for a morning filled with fellowship, encouragement, and gratitude. Before the meeting began, the women shared breakfast together, catching up like family—a beautiful reflection of the community God is building among them. Pastor [...]
On May 15th, 2025, the TLAfrica Kenya office had the joy of hosting a dynamic training session for 77 women leaders from the Maasai community in Oltepesi, Kajiado County. These inspiring women—serving as Chairladies, Secretaries, and Treasurers for over 23 self-help groups—came from areas including Otepesi, Emboliei, Ole-kimunke, and Lerujat. Many of the women are [...]
The Wendo wa aka Ndiwa Women Group in Makueni consists of 15 widows from different denominations. When we visited them for the first time in 2023, the women expressed a desire to support each other in their widowhood and to help each member to be economically stable. To achieve this goal, they desired to meet regularly for [...]
As Ruth Carter Stapleton once stated that “Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most.” In this spirit, on December 19th, 2023, TLAfrica donated thirty-six female goats to thirty-six families in Cyuve, Musanze. These families reside in the areas surrounding the construction [...]
Can you imagine it? The entire world is in fear of this unknown virus that is killing millions. The cities are in lock-down. You've already been struggling to provide food and basic needs for you family. Steady work is hard to find. And when you get home, your disabled child needs your assistance. We're [...]
We lift our hands in praise to the Lord for His faithfulness and provision. The Sabbath Egg Poultry project began over a year ago with a vision. It was a three-part vision to A) meet a malnutrition need in the community, B) provide sustainable income for the TLAfrica Rwanda office and C) become a [...]
Scovia participates in TLAfrica's Women Empowerment Program. Scovia lives in the rural parts of Bungoma, Kenya. She received a cow from TLAfrica to help support her family through farming and agriculture. The cow provides milk for her family and to sell, while also providing much needed manure for her crops. Like many in the region, [...]
