Self-sustainability is a primary component of TLAfrica’s mission. This includes sustainability on every level from the individual’s way of life and faith, to the community, and the organization. The Pig Project in Nairobi is the sustainability project for the Kenya office. TLAfrica has built a pig farm and planted a corn field in a suburb community in Nairobi. With the high demand for pork, the pigs will be sold as piglets to local families and farmers. The corn will feed the pigs and any surplus will be sold to the neighboring community. The proceeds from all sales will be used to fund administrative costs of our Kenya office.
